About
NPR Music's iconic Tiny Desk concert series has adapted to current times with Tiny Desk (home) concerts, maintaining the intimate and stripped-down performances from various locations. Noteworthy in this adaptation is a heartwarming collaboration featuring music legend Sting and Beninese pop star Shirazee. Shirazee's unique rendition of Sting's "Englishman in New York" as "African in New York" caught Sting's attention during the pandemic, leading to a special performance at the Tiny Desk concert and a recording for Sting's upcoming Duets album.
