Benjy Ferree, a charismatic singer/songwriter originally from Prince George's County, Maryland, recently performed a Tiny Desk concert at NPR. Ferree, known for his unique voice that blends elements of T-Rex and Jimmie Rodgers, showcased his musical talents with guitar in hand and a wig on his head during the intimate performance.

Ferree's musical journey includes the release of his EP "Leaving the Nest" in 2005, followed by his full-length debut album of the same name in 2006 under Domino Records US/UK. His second album, "Come Back to the Five and Dime Bobby Dee Bobby Dee," was released in 2009.

During his live performances, Ferree plays a variety of instruments including a Fender Telecaster, KORG SV-1, moogerfoogers, and a moog theremin, often accompanied by talented band members like Drew Mills and Laura Harris. In addition to his studio albums, Ferree also released the G.U.S. 7" on Ricky Records in 2012.
