Colombian band Bomba Estéreo recently graced the Tiny Desk stage with an intense performance showcasing their electro tropical and psychedelic cumbia sound. The band, founded in Bogotá in 2005 by Simón Mejía, rose to the occasion during this quieter set, reminiscent of their early days playing in smaller venues in Colombia. Despite the reduced volume, Bomba Estéreo delivered a powerful show, proving that greatness transcends loudness.
