Canadian electro-funk duo Chromeo recently made their debut at the Tiny Desk concert series, performing with a live band for the first time. The band, consisting of David Macklovitch (Dave 1) and Patrick Gemayel (P-Thugg) from Montreal, has been bringing their infectiously funky sounds to audiences since 2002. The duo's unique partnership – one Jewish and the other Arab – adds an intriguing layer to their music, characterized by a blend of soul, dance, rock, synth-pop, disco, and funk influences.

Chromeo has enjoyed success with six studio albums, three of which made the Billboard 200 charts. In 2018, they earned a Grammy Award nomination for Best Engineered Album with "Head over Heels." Their distinctive style and lively performance at the Tiny Desk concert showcased why Chromeo continues to be a beloved fixture in the electro-funk music scene.
