Japanese jazz composer and pianist Hiromi recently graced the NPR Tiny Desk stage with her band, Hiromi's Sonicwonder, showcasing a highly energetic and joyful performance. The band previewed two songs from their upcoming album, "Sonicwonderland," each filled with sophisticated arrangements and lush textures. Hiromi's Nord Lead A1 synthesizer set an electrifying tone, complemented by Adam O'Farrill's ethereal trumpet tones, Hadrien Feraud's precise bass lines, and Gene Coye's dynamic drumming. Known for her virtuosic technique and blending of musical genres like stride, post-bop, and fusion, Hiromi brought her signature style to the concert, leaving a lasting impression with her memorable performance at the Tiny Desk.
